Sharlyn is a Senior Mechanical Engineering student and has been an active member of the AIAA since a year after it was reestablished in 2015. As President of the AIAA, she is responsible for directing all organization activities. Sharlyn is excited for the latest chapter at AIAA-UH. Her focus is to help members get closer to their goals getting into the aerospace industry.
Andrew is a Senior Mechanical Engineering student and joined the UH section of AIAA in the Fall of 2016. As the Vice President, he is in charge of communicating with other student organizations within UH. He has a passion for engineering and aerospace and hopes to expand the aerospace presence on campus.
Daniel is a Junior at the University of Houston. He is a chemical engineering major and wants to work in the aerospace industry. His main interests include rocket propulsion and life support systems. He is the treasurer for the AIAA University of Houston, and as such he is responsible for overseeing the organization’s finances.
Kelly a sophomore studying biomedical engineering with a minor in biology. She joined AIAA and Space City Rocketry last year, and this is my first year as secretary for AIAA. She am responsible for meeting notes, organizing member information, communication to members and sponsors, and updating organization records. Her goal for AIAA is to contribute as much as possible to the success of the club by keeping everything easy to find, access, and understand! She am also a co-captain for UH's women's Ultimate Frisbee, and an Honors College Ambassador.
Jalyssa Martinez is the Program Manager for AIAA this upcoming. She is a junior in mechanical engineering and has been a member of AIAA for the past three years. She was airframe lead on our competitive high powered rocket team, Space City Rocketry and hopes to expand AIAA's reach through added projects such as Space City Drone Team and Senior Capstone Teams .
Rejin is a Junior Mechanical Engineering student, and has been part of AIAA since Spring 2017. He is apart of the Airframe team of the Space City Rocketry. As an event coordinator, he deals with the logistics of each event of the organization. He wants to inspire more students to explore opportunities in the Aerospace industry.
Jose is a construction major with an interest in aerospace. He has been involved in AIAA for over a year in the Space City Rocketry team as well as the Space City drone team. Jose's goal as the historian is to document the progress of the design teams and AIAA through photography. Jose hopes to see the AIAA-UH chapter grow even more in the future.
Public Relations Officer
Samina Huq is a senior Physics major who joined AIAA in the fall of 2017. As Public Relations Officer, her duties include updating AIAA’s social media accounts and advertising events. Samina is happy to contribute to AIAA’s continued growth as a welcoming community for aerospace enthusiasts.
Jordan is a second year student studying Mechanical Engineering. He joined the UH section of AIAA in Spring 2018. As the Outreach Coordinator, he helps AIAA members get connected within the aerospace industry through volunteer and networking opportunities His goal is to help students grow and network within the aerospace industry.
Harry is a Sophomore at the University of Houston. He is a Mechanical Engineering Technology student graduating in fall of 2021. His goal for AIAA-UH is for it expand and grow in UH. He is charge of maintaining and organizing the club's website.
